T-BALL!

Spring makes me think about baseball. And baseball makes me think about t-ball. And t-ball makes me think about a little boy named, David C.  David  was on my little brother's t-ball team. He was my favorite player to watch. I can remember every one of David's at-bats. That's because they all ended the exact same way...
David would walk up to the tee already looking sad and dejected.  Then in an unorthodox approach, David would run past the tee and swing as he went by.
Then the all the kids playing 3rd base would chase after the ball. (NOTE: There were usually about 35 kids playing the field.)
David ran down the base line.
Finally, one of the 3rd basemen would grab the ball and throw it past the 1st basemen.
David would still be making his way there.
The 1st basemen would grab the ball and go back to first base...
Still beating David there.
David would finally reach the bag already crying -
then dramatically throw himself to the ground -
completely crushed that yet another base hit alluded him.
David's mom would then assist him off the field and let him know how close he was that time.

the flight home...

This is what happens when you get stuck with the aisle seat in the back of a plane about a half hour after drinks are served....... They're, they're waiting for the lavatory.

I suck at Super Mario.

I bought the new Super Mario Brothers game last week and all I do is die. Thank everything that is holy that there are no things to jump over in the toad houses or else I'd die there too.

I remember being a seven year old kid playing the old Mario games. Back then blazing through six or seven levels was just another day at the office. Now-a-days you'll find me with a critically wounded Mario at the bottom of a pit some where in level one. I stink!

If the citizen's of Mushroom Kingdom only had me to rely on they would be in major trouble. The Toads would be placed into involuntary labor camps, while the Princess would be forced to marry that jerk off Bowser.

Oh well... Guess I'll practice my jumping.

Penguins vs. Kings

The Penguins came into town last week. I was excited because I haven't seen them since I left Pittsburgh. The first two periods were great!  Then came the third period which I'd rather not talk about....
Instead I rather talk about the folks sitting behind me. They were amazing!  They were the pikeys from the movie Snatch who also happen to be Pens fans.

Mickey and company were giving great color commentary without taking a breath in between any words or sentences.

They spoke about what the Pens needed to do in order to win,

"Wat ya need is a Jordin Staal out there a man like Jordin Staal knows how to scor golls."

On the physical attributes of one of the Kings players,

"Look at the little one over there he's tv size he fits right into the tv don't need to size him down cuz he fits right into tv"

and on Bailey the Lion, the LA Kings mascot,

"Ol beasty boy's bangin his drum agin thats all beasty boy does run aroun bangin his drum do ya see beasty boy bangin his drum agin?"

Mickey made the Pens beating more bearable. Later he tried selling me a caravan.
